As part of the San Bernardino Public Library’s summer events, the Feldheym Central Library will be hosting a Chinese Paper Lantern workshop presented by Emmy Lam.  This free workshop is open to ages 10 and up. It will take place on Wednesday, June 13 at 4:00 PM in the Children’s Room at the Feldheym Central Library at 555 W. 6th Street in San Bernardino.

Kids, parents, and teens will learn the ancient decorative art of making Chinese lanterns by using colorful and festive materials. Students will gain knowledge of Chinese festivals like Chinese New Year and Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival (Moon Festival) through this fun and educational workshop. Mid-Autumn festival is the biggest Chinese traditional holiday after Chinese New Year. Many people carry Chinese lanterns during the festival.
