The Engineering section provides services to customers and other utility sections on technical matters involving the City's water and water Reclamation Plant infrastructure. The Engineering Section also coordinates planning for new facilities to serve development as required by the Department's Rules and Regulations (see links below). Additional functions performed by the Engineering Section include administration of the Department's Water Facilities Master Plan, preparation of technical standards and drawings, and coordination of the Capital Improvement Program. The Section also operates and maintains the Department's Geographic Information System, which provides a wide variety of information in geographic and text or data formats regarding the Department's facilities and service area.
