Community Development Block Grant Virtual Event

The City of San Bernardino is hosting a community-wide meeting to discuss the allocations of funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These funds are dedicated to enhancing our local community, and we're eager to hear your thoughts! Your input will play a critical role in guiding City leadership as they prioritize spending goals on vital areas such as affordable housing, homelessness, and other community needs for the next five years.

Point in Time Count 2025 Volunteers Needed

The PITC is a critical survey to secure grant funding, as well as other resources for local communities to assist individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Volunteers Will:

Attend a virtual training, available through the SBCHP website 
• Be deployed in teams to survey individuals using the Survey 123 mobile application, a smart phone is required
• Hand-out backpacks filled with essential items


Help count the unsheltered and make a difference on Thursday, January 23, 2025

Homekey – San Bernardino with Lutheran Social Services of Southern California (LSSSC)

In collaboration with Lutheran Social Services of Southern California (LSSSC), the City has embarked on a State of California HomeKey Project to establish the San Bernardino Community Wellness Campus—a non-congregate interim housing facility comprising 150 beds.

Navigation Center

The City is constructing a Navigation center at the former "School of Hope" campus to provide low barrier, non- congregate, interim housing to help address the root causes of homelessness.

Street Outreach Team

The City now has a special team under the police station, we are excited to now have C.O.A.S.T. a crisis intervention  team. Their goal is to intercept calls for service before they go to patrol and/or support patrol on mental health calls.
