On March 27th , 2024, the San Bernardino Police Department responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of N. Acacia Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a 14-year-old victim who had been shot. Unfortunately, the victim later passed away from his injuries at a local hospital. The investigation was then handed over to the San Bernardino Police Department Homicide Unit. Since the start of the investigation, homicide investigators have executed several search warrants on residences in search of additional evidence related to the crime.
On April 10, 2024, officers were successful in locating and arresting the suspect during a traffic stop in the city. The suspect is a 16-year-old juvenile who was arrested and booked on felony charges in connection with the murder.
