Shelter Pets Treated to a Thanksgiving Meal
at the San Bernardino Animal Shelter

On Wednesday, November 27, over forty volunteers gathered early in the morning to surprise the San Bernardino Animal Shelter animals with a special meal at their 4th annual Thanksgiving at the Shelter event.

The volunteers, along with San Bernardino Mayor Helen Tran and Animal Services staff, helped prepare, cook, and serve meals to all the furry friends currently residing at the Shelter.

Over 300 dogs and one very excited pig were treated to a special meal that included ground turkey, rice, vegetables, and a special doggie treat.

Sullivan, a pig currently residing at the Shelter and awaiting adoption, charmed the volunteers and staff into giving him a second helping of Thanksgiving fare.

If you are looking for a pet to add to your family, the Shelter, located at 333 Chandler Place in San Bernardino, is offering free adoptions now through the end of December

Thank you to all the volunteers who donated their time to help bring some joy to the dogs at the Animal Shelter.
