City of San Bernardino to Hold
an Animal Shelter Thanksgiving on November 23
The City of San Bernardino Animal Services Department staff and over 100 volunteers will gather early on Thanksgiving morning to serve a hot meal to over 200 dogs residing in the City’s Animal Shelter on Thursday, November 23rd.
In the spirit of the holiday, staff and volunteers will be setting up, preparing the food, serving the food, and giving love and affection to the animals.
This marks the second year in which the Animal Shelter Thanksgiving is being held.
“Shelter animals are the most vulnerable population of pets, and we think every person AND every pet deserves a hot Thanksgiving meal,” said Animal Service Director Kris Watson.
The Shelter can still accommodate additional volunteers, who can sign up at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf_NIMWQhok4iAxmUaISZO6B8eu0ZCj0KuhxvxzCTtYbGpUSQ/viewform?fbclid=IwAR0MiNDkH31OIRuQxUUsrGaKeQQe4btPkRXxqE1H0pzn53jImjOtq-xx34U
