Groundbreaking Ceremony to be Held on September 19 for San Bernardino’s Newest Fire Station
San Bernardino County Fire, along with the City of San Bernardino, County of San Bernardino, and San Manuel Band of Mission Indians will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 19 to launch the construction of the first new fire station in the City in over two decades.
Members of the public are invited to join in the festivities.
A new, state of the art Station 226 will be located at 1920 North Del Rosa Avenue. It will replace the old Station 226, which was built in the 1950's. The new station will be more than twice the size of the current one. expanding from 4,300 square feet to 10,267 square feet.
Construction on the station is estimated to be completed in one year.
