San Bernardino Remembers its Fallen Heroes
on Memorial Day
A large crowd of veterans, community members and civic leaders turned out in front of City Hall to remember and salute those that gave their lives in service of our country at a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 29.
Keynote speeches were given by U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant Corrina Ramos and San Bernardino Police Captain Brian Harris (USMC ret.) reflecting on the meaning of service.
Joining Mayor Tran and City Council members Juan Figueroa, Fred Shorett, Ben Reynoso, Kimberly Calvin, and Damon Alexander were State Assembly Member and Majority Leader Eloise Gomez Reyes, County Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr., civic leaders from education, and San Bernardino commissioners.
At the end of the ceremony, attendees laid carnations into the fountain and watched as the flowers floated down the waterfalls.
