On Saturday morning, September 10, volunteers from We Are the Change San Bernardino and SB Food Fest partnered with the Parks, Recreation and Community Services and Public Works Departments to clean up Seccombe Lake Park.
Almost 50 volunteers participated, including City Council Members Theodore Sanchez, Sandra Ibarra, Juan Figueroa, Fred Shorett, and Damon Alexander.
The clean up coincided with work being done by City Public Works crews, who this week painted the iconic bridge along with the decorative trellises.
Another cleanup is scheduled for October 1. It will focus on specific projects in order to prepare the park for the upcoming Festival event on October 8.
