San Bernardino Offers Multiple Ways
to Stay Cool During
the Hot Summer Months
Daytime temperatures in San Bernardino often hit 100 degrees or higher in the summer months.
The City of San Bernardino wants to remind its residents to stay indoors during peak temperature hours, limit outdoor exercise or work to the early morning or evening hours, stay hydrated - drink lots of liquids, use suntan lotion, keep your pets inside or in the shade with plenty of water, and most importantly, keep tabs on elderly friends or family.
Shade and water are also critical for outdoor pets.
Air conditioning can get very expensive and can put a strain on the power grid. San Bernardino would like to remind residents that it has many locations throughout the city that residents can use to cool off that are both fun and free for residents of all ages.
