Maintenance on Twelve San Bernardino Bridges to Begin on September 30
The nighttime work is expected to last for four months
Caltrans has announced it will be conducting preventative maintenance beginning Monday, September 30 on twelve bridges along Interstate 215 and Route 66 (5th Street) between Iowa Avenue and University Parkway.
To minimize impacts to most drivers, work will occur Mondays through Fridays during the overnight hours, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and expected to last through February, 2024.
Drivers are advised that lane connector and ramp closures may take place within the project area, which will impact travel times.
The project will include applying methacrylate, polyester concrete overlay, creating better vertical clearance.
Drivers are reminded to reduce speed in and around the work zone.
